The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even left the lights and heaters in our room on for us when we arrived late at night. The room was clean and comfortable, with fresh linen and towels. We loved the communal kitchen, which was well-equipped, and the dining room had a great view of the mountains. The location was convenient, close to restaurants and other amenities. we had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it to families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Conform to YHA standards.
The mosquitos in the room by night because of the light next door was the only problem.

It was clean, with friendly staff and set in a great location.
The walls are pretty thin, like a prefab building so noise travells through easily and there is little or no insulation so it can be quite cold.

I stayed at Haka Lodge for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The curtains on the bed provided a level of privacy that I rarely find in other backpackers. Each bed had a shelf, light, and plug, making it very convenient. The kitchen, though slightly small, was well-equipped and clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Haka Lodge provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hospitality, homely atmosphere, and convenient location. Over Thanksgiving, I had a pleasant stay at a hostel. the staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. the homely atmosphere made me feel as though I was staying with friends rather than at a hostel. the location was extremely convenient, being just a short walk away from the town center, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. the free tea and coffee were a nice added touch, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. It had a great location on a hill, close to restaurants and just a short walk to town. The staff were friendly and provided loads of helpful tips. The room was clean and comfortable, with curtains for privacy, and there were plenty of parking spaces and even a hot pool to enjoy. We especially appreciated the individual plugs next to the beds and the relaxed vibe with hammocks and a hot tub.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

My experience during the Christmas holiday at this lodge was quite good. What I enjoyed most was the friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed. the lodge was in a convenient location- with easy access to many attractions, as well as quality restaurants. I was also impressed that the lodge offered free wifi and complementary breakfast- a true money saver.
There were a few negatives that detracted from my experience. there were quite a few big tour groups during my stay, which meant that the common areas- such as the kitchen- were often crowded and hard to navigate.

Secondly, the location was perfect, situated on a hill close to restaurants. This made it a breeze to explore the local dining scene. Lastly, the service provided by the staff was top-notch. They were friendly and always willing to assist with any requests. Oh, and let's not forget the rooms with the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hostel. It felt like sleeping on a cloud!
